What is Vedic Usui Reiki?
The word "rei" in Japanese means "higher intellect" or "higher awareness," which is what gives the cosmos its form and functionality. A subtle or profound understanding that both living and non-living things share is the basis of creation and the driving force behind the development and evolution of everything. Few people are aware that the Indian Vedic System is where Reiki Healing first began. India has been a stop in Mikao Usui's spiritual journey. He had learned about Chakras, the Lotus Sutra of Buddha, and Indian Vedic knowledge from India. There were several energy healing modalities in use in Japan and other nations prior to Mikao Usui's introduction of Reiki.
Initially, there used to be only 4 levels of reiki healing as was introduced by Master Usui. The successors of the reiki healing further divided the 4th level into 2 levels – Mastership & Grandmaster ship. Hence, today's module for reiki healing comprises a total of 5 levels which are as follows:-
- Reiki Level I
- Reiki Level II
- Reiki Level III
- Reiki Level Mastership/Teacher
- Reiki Level Grandmastership
